Our Mission Statement
ACUMEN
is a support network that enables mental health service users and carers
in Argyll & Clyde to participate as equal partners in the development of
services and the promotion of well being and recovery.
Our Philosophy
Our
philosophy is that maximising mental health service user and carer
involvement in all areas of service provision will improve the quality
of services and the quality of an individual's life.
The ACUMEN story
Since our official launch in January 2003 ACUMEN has developed rapidly.
Early in 2005 we became a company limited by guarantee with charitable
status. Our Board of Directors is made up of two service
user/carer representatives from each of the following five local
authority areas;
Argyll & Bute, East Renfrewshire,
Inverclyde, Renfrewshire and West Dunbartonshire.
